Nokia E61i

Unlike the E61 where you can distinctively feel the menu keys above the keyboard, on the E61i it's easier to press the wrong buttons since there's considerably less space between each key and the surface is rather flushed. The joystick on the E61 has also been replaced with a four-way rectangular pad with a central Enter key, which fortunately is just as efficient.

The QWERTY keyboard, other than having more breathing room between each key, remains largely similar to the earlier E61. What we don't quite fancy with the new buttons are the less pronounced feel. No matter, since we got over that soon enough and breezed our way through typing a full text message on the E61i.

The E61i comes with an onboard 2-megapixel camera.
On the rear lies the 2-megapixel camera that Nokia has included in this latest edition. Oddly, while there's Night mode and settings to adjust the white balance and color tone, there's no built-in LED light to act as a flash unit. Admittedly, the light output from an LED is poor in comparison to flash modules on standalone cameras. But this could have been helpful in providing some illumination for low-light situations. Nokia 6110 navigator

According to Nokia, the company is in talks with local telcos, which means we might see AGPS (Assisted Global Positioning System) with an always-on mobile connection to be available in the near future. The Nokia 6110 Navigator comes in either black or white.
Connectivity-wise, this quadband Navigator ships with 3G and HSDPA (High-speed Downlink Packet Access) capable of reaching speeds of up to 3.6Mbps. What's missing are wireless LAN and infrared. Fortunately, there's Bluetooth and push email, in addition to a Message reader function that reads emails or text messages aloud.

Nokia N800

The good: Integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity; outstanding browser; built-in Webcam; sleek design; gorgeous screen; improved performance; multifunctional.
The bad: Video playback was subpar; no PC synchronization; relies solely on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for connectivity.
The bottom line: Though it won't appeal to the masses quite yet, the Nokia N800 Internet Tablet is a nice, portable device for on-the-go Web browsing, and it has some worthy upgrades.

Nokia launches four new handsets
AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS--At its annual Capital Market Days, Nokia revealed to the media four new handsets for its 2007 product lineup.
Three of them (Nokia 6086,6290 and 6300) are targeted at midrange users, while the 2626, an entry-level candy bar, will cater to consumers in the emerging markets.

According to a press statement from Kai Oistamo, Nokia's executive vice president and general manager for Mobile Phones: "These new products underscore our commitment to offer a range of mobile phones that give consumers a choice in selecting the right balance of technology and design to meet their lifestyle and budget."

The highlight at the launch was undoubtedly the Nokia 6300. Measuring just 13.1mm thin, the new candy bar is one of the first slim phone offerings in recent years from the Finnish company. More significantly, many industry observers see the 6300 as an indication of Nokia's decision to finally follow the thin phone trend.

The 6290, meanwhile, is touted as the company's first midrange Series 60 3G smart phone, while the 6086 is its latest Unlicensed Mobile Access (UMA) handset. UMA handsets allow users to switch seamlessly between GSM and wireless LAN for mobile service coverage. While information on the 2626 remains sketchy for now, the handset is expected to come in several colors and include an FM radio.
All four models are expected to ship in the first quarter of 2007. However, according to a Nokia spokesperson, the 6086 is unlikely to make its way to the Asia-Pacific region due to the lack of mobile operators supporting the UMA service. The good news, though, is that the 6086 is almost identical in design and features to the 6085 that was announced, except for the UMA connectivity.

Nokia N73 Music Edition
Its pure N73

And Now N73 Music Edition

The good: The Nokia N73 boasts a 3.2-megapixel camera with video-recording capabilities, an integrated music player, a vibrant screen, Bluetooth, and a speakerphone. The phone also had extra-long talktime, battery life, and decent call quality.
The bad: The Nokia N73's keypad is a bit cramped. Also, it lacks Wi-Fi and runs slowly when switching between apps or performing multimedia functions.
The bottom line: The Nokia N73 offers a high-quality camera phone plus some nice extras in a stylish package, but its sluggish performance keeps us from giving it higher praises.
